Come join us in Cambria for an experimental blend of Hatha, Yin, and Restorative Yoga. Each class will be a unique blend of those various styles of yoga, but you can expect to create slow movement, as well as engage in some strong poses to generate heat before winding down with longer held cooling poses set on the floor. We open every practice with a guided meditation by settling into a sense of quietude and by entraining our attention with the body and breath. The subtle movements, as well as the engaged stillness, are meant to cultivate a sense of vitality, strength, and tranquility in both our physical and mental states.
With this practice, you will have a greater ability to handle your everyday stressors, as well as restore and sustain a healthy body and mind by not only experiencing, but reminding yourself of your ability to connect with a living presence. All levels are welcome, as this is a great practice for beginners, those in older age groups dealing with common aches and pains as well as any athletes looking to incorporate yoga into their resting workout days.
